Ehon Hand Painted - Red
Designer Mariko Tomita, motivated by a desire for softer color application in pigment painting, embarked on a series of experiments involving the flow of paint and glaze. The result of these efforts is the creation of the handcrafted tile collection known as "Ehon."
Through meticulous work on the base material and applying various painting tools and brushes, the tiles exhibit moments of vividness and instances of subtle blending that achieved a texture reminiscent of drawing paper. As a result, these tiles evoke a gentle and almost "storybook-like" sense of ambiance.
